Join us in bringing joy during the blessed month of Ramadan to our brothers and sisters in Palestine!

The Prophet said, “Whoever relieves a believer's distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter.” (Muslim)

This Ramadan, we want 1000's of families to be able to have food for suhoor and Iftar so that they can worship Allah with a little less concern regarding where will these resources come from. This will prove to them that we love for them what we love for ourselves. Ramadan is a time of Iman! Ramadan is a time of Reflection upon Allah's book and Allah orders us to take care of those who have need where in He states:

“Alms-tax is only for the poor and the needy… This is˺ an obligation from Allah. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.” (9:60)

This is our opportunity to prove our Iman to Allah. Allah states:

أَحَسِبَ ٱلنَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوٓا۟ أَن يَقُولُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ ٢

“Do people think once they say, “We believe,” that they will be left without being put to the test?” (Ankaboot: 2)

Let us not fail the test of being so blessed by Allah in terms of wealth and sustenance, that we forget to share it with those who need it much more than we do. Help us to HELP THEM!

Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19, nearly one third of the population – 32.7 percent, or 1.6 million people – could not afford nutritious food. Food insecurity is high among women – 33.7 percent of families headed by women are food insecure – particularly in the Gaza Strip, where it is around 64 percent. Severely food insecure Palestinians are suffering significant consumption gap and lack the means to cover their basic needs including food, housing and clothing. They are unable to counter the significant consumption gap through economic means or coping mechanisms, which they have already exhausted due to the ongoing and chronic crisis.
