Give a family an Eid to remember

Every year 901 Ummah has a drive to provide toys, gifts, clothes, and money to families resettled in Memphis. Struggling to balance the new demands of employment, learning a new language, and acclimating to a new culture in a new and different country it's hard sometimes for families to enjoy this blessed month and the Eid they are used to back home. We hope you'll help make it easier for them and give a family an Eid to remember.

Did you know that Memphis welcomes a sizeable number of refugees to the city each year?

In fiscal year 2016, 278 refugees were resettled. The majority of those who came this past year were from Democratic Republic of Congo and Syria. Memphis received the most Syrian families of any city in the state. Other refugees have come from countries like Somalia, Eritrea, and Iraq. When refugees come to Memphis, they are often lost, scared, and lonely.

The Details

All the funds that are raised will be used directly towards families still under refugee status in the Memphis area. Kids, parents, and families will benefit from your contribution. Funds collected from now until June 22nd will be distributed on June 23rd. Anything donated after will be distributed in July. This is a program that has been ongoing for the past three years and 2016-2017 has shown a greater number of families in the area that need support.
