Our places of worship where many congregate on a daily basis to pray and seek moments of spirituality are put at risk. At the moment, they need funds to replace their windows, install security camera systems and other damages. Therefore, any amount is greatly appreciated.
For this campaign, we collaborated with Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, Toronto chapter. The organization started in the US in 2008, and its over 50 chapters are dedicated to relationship building and social action projects between Muslim and Jewish women with the aim to fight hate and prejudice against our groups.
Thank you, everyone for the support; for every act of hate, there needs to be 100 acts of love.
All funds raised will be going directly to the Masjid Al-Tawuba's bank account.

Mardi matin, la mosquée Al-Tawuba a été vandalisée. C'est la deuxième fois qu'un tel évèvement se produit ce mois-ci. Suite à la fusillade à Québec, il y a eu une augmentation de crimes haineux et des insultes discriminatoires envers la communauté musulmane.
Nos lieux de culte où plusieurs se rassemblent tous les jours pour prier et chercher un moment de paix et sérénité sont mis en danger. Pour le moment, ils ont besoin de fonds pour remplacer leurs fenêtres, installer des caméras de sécurité et réparer tous les autres dommages. Par conséquent, tout montant serait grandement apprécié.
Pour cette campagne, nous avons collaboré avec Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, chapitre deToronto. L'organisation a débuté aux États-Unis en 2008, et ses plus de 50 chapitres sont consacrés à la création de liens et à des projets d'action sociale entre femmes musulmanes et juives dans le but de combattre la haine et les préjugés envers nos groupes.

Following the Quebec Shooting that killed six Muslim men, therehas been a spike in hate crimes across the country; 2 mosques vandalized in Montreal, threats towards Muslim students at Concordia University, discriminatory comments and insults being spurred, to name a few. Amidst the hate, your support, donations and messages of peace and unity have been a source of HOPE to us all. Thank you for being a generous and valued member of the community.
Also, I am touched by the overwhelming support from our Jewish friends. Jews who were once brutally persecuted and who remain victims of discrimination until this day have offered a helping hand to Muslims, I hope this solidarity and dialogue will only bring us closer.
