Six-year-old Maryam Helal has endured unimaginable hardship. Fleeing Gaza for urgent medical treatment, she, her mother Doaa, and little brother Hamza found refuge in Abu Dhabi, but their journey is far from over.

💛 Medical Care for Maryam – While safe for now, Maryam still requires ongoing treatment for her rare and painful skin condition, which comes with additional costs beyond what is covered.

💛 Basic Living Expenses – Maryam’s family arrived with nothing and are working hard to rebuild their lives. They need to cover essential costs for living while the family work to reunite and get back on their feet.

💛 Family Reunification – Muhammed (Maryam’s father), Kifah (14), and Hala (15) are still in Gaza. We are determined to bring them to safety and reunite them with Maryam, but the evacuation costs are at least $10,000.

Our Journey With the Helal Family

I’m Georgia Takacs, co-founder of All Our Relations, and I have been walking this journey with Maryam and her family since May 2024.

When I first saw the video of Maryam—her skin raw, eyes swollen shut, body too weak to move—it was unbearable. I knew we had to act. All Our Relations worked to support her evacuation from Gaza, and I traveled to Abu Dhabi in January, where I delivered emergency aid and supplies to her family. Seeing Maryam laugh, play, and regain her energy was nothing short of miraculous—but this is just the beginning.

This family has lost everything. They have survived war, displacement, and separation—but with your help, they can finally begin to heal.
