COVID-19 Response Fund for Nonprofits

The Corona Virus is Affecting Everyone

Hosted by American Muslim Community Foundation in partnership with a coalition of leaders from across the nonprofit sector, The COVID-19 Response Fund for Nonprofits will provide flexible financial resources to organizations across the country working with minority communities who are disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. One-time operating grants will help fund organizations that have had to cancel events which will impact their operational budget.

The COVID-19 Response Fund for Nonprofits will deploy the necessary resources to community-based organizations affected by the coronavirus outbreak. Many nonprofits have had to cancel their fundraising events over the next few months. Ramadan outreach will be impacted and AMCF wants to help those nonprofits and be proactive in getting funds to causes who need it.

A Community Foundation is a publicly supported philanthropic nonprofit institution governed by a board, which serves its donors, the nonprofit sector, and the community. Watch this video to learn more

We understand the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting nonprofits in many ways, including increased demand for their services, lost revenue due to closures and cancellations, as well as other challenges. We are working closely with national partners to ensure that financial resources can meet the greatest needs in communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.

This Fund was not created to be the only vehicle resourcing critical community activities during this outbreak. Rather it is working to facilitate getting more targeted resources into the community where it’s needed most.

If the COVID-19 Response Fund priorities align with your values, please consider making a donation. However, this is a critical time for so many, including the nonprofit organizations who’ve benefited from your giving in the past, as well as those who’ve had to cancel their annual fundraising events or depend heavily on public gatherings.

Please continue to give to organizations you regularly support, and those that need your help at this crucial time. Now is the time to double down for our community as we have greater awareness of the depth and scale of the long term ramifications of the outbreak.

AMCF received the Outstanding Foundation Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2019.
