We are calling on homeowners, entrepreneurs, businesses and organisations to donate storage space to help a grassroots, award winning, entirely volunteer led project with 100% donation policy, recycling disability aids to provide the gift of mobility to disabled people in need overseas.
Wheels to Heal is a registered UK charity that offers a FREE quarterly uplift of unwanted mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, zimmer frames, walking sticks, commodes, three wheel supports / care beds, hoist and much more. We up-cycle this mobility equipment for reuse by disabled people in third world countries. The initiative has recycled and gifted over 30,000 mobility aids to date. It is run entirely by volunteers with a 100% donation policy and received national recognition for its efforts.
These items are put to incredibly good use in countries such as; Bangladesh, Gambia, Ghana, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine, Malawi, Morocco, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tanzania, Uganda, and Yemen where these will transform lives.
What we need as part of our U.K. mobility aid recycling network are generous individuals who understand the impact of saving items from landfill here in the UK and from gifting them to disabled people in need overseas.
