Zaytuna College, the first accredited Muslim college in the United States, has a holistic liberal arts curriculum that blends the best of the Islamic and Western intellectual traditions. Established in Berkeley, California in 2009, Zaytuna offers two academic programs: a Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Law and Theology and the Summer Arabic Intensive.
"Six years ago, we introduced an undergraduate liberal arts program inspired by the idea of restoring the holistic education that had been offered in the great teaching centers of Islamic civilization. Zaytuna gives our community its first accredited academic address in the United States."
Zaytuna's bookstore will showcase books selected by its faculty that reflect a range of genres, from classical Islamic literature to current events. We envision a store that will also host authors for readings and events and that offers a variety of gifts and school merchandise for purchase. Given that Zaytuna is primarily funded through individual donations by its supporters, this bookstore will also generate a much-needed additional source of revenue for the College. With its curated selection of books and its commitment to authenticity, we're confident the store will become a destination, God willing, for seekers of knowledge and visitors to Zaytuna College that come from around the country and around the world.

The bookstore is designed by local interior decorator, Khadija Annette, who has been a long time designer for Zaytuna. Below are some of her concepts and materials for the space.
