The progress of a developing, and very populous country like Pakistan, relies heavily on STEM - science, technology, engineering, and maths. 50% of Pakistan's population is female, yet they barely make up 11% of our STEM workforce. We need your help to balance these numbers, and help the country move into the future!

The Women Engineers Pakistan, or WEP, is a leadership development organization aimed at bridging the abysmal gender gap in Pakistan and abroad. This organization works to serve as a platform for promoting talented Pakistani Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, with a mission to empower every woman in Pakistan, ranging from the high-school girl to the mid-career woman, who is interested or involved in STEM fields.
Your support helps us continue and initiate programs of outreach, mentoring, advocacy, internships, training, workshops, and more.
WEP has managed to make a vivid social media presence in this time, validated by the around 10,000+ on Facebook. WEP has been in business for 3+ years, with successful collaborations with USAID, United Nations Pakistan, British Council, Google Developers Group Islamabad, Ananke, NUST, Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, and more. Our most recent partnership was with Arizona State University and the USAID Pakistan for conducting a workshop on "Promoting Gender Equity within Engineering".
Pakistan has over 113+ STEM-focused universities. In order for WEP to continue doing its work we require a broader reach to every major city within the country. This requires both physical and fiscal support.

In 2017, Women Engineers Pakistan was able to:
* reach out to 13 engineering universities across the country, with 110+ campus members
* partner with 9 STEM firms!
* Up till now, we have impacted MORE THAN 3000 female high school students while talking about one thing: HIGH-SKILLED EDUCATION, why they must never stop pursuing it, and how they can get access to it:
* We were able to give internships to 12 talented prospective female engineers:
* We spoke at two NATIONAL and 3 INTERNATIONAL forums for advocacy of workplace safety, and made sue our voice was taken seriously at the Higher Education Commission and other Pakistani policy makers:
* This year, we were also able to conduct two zonal conferences for the absolutely talented Pakistani Women in STEM fields!
