... It's time to WISE Up and get the FACTS.

This Ramadan, help us deliver 1,000 copies of WISE Up to members of Congress and the media!

WISE Up is a 375-page holistic educational book and toolkit written by 72 Muslim scholars and leaders that:

1. Sets the record straight about who Muslims are, what they believe, and how they contribute to the American social fabric.

2. Delinks the peaceful religion of Islam from the hateful ideology of extremists who distort Islam.

3. Provides best practices to prevent Islamophobia, bullying, and hate crimes against Muslims.

The objective of WISE Up is to:

1. Enable American Muslims to clearly articulate the distinctions between the peaceful religion of Islam and the ideology of extremists.

2. Foster greater understanding of Muslims and Islam by educating lawmakers (U.S. Congress) and the media.

What sets WISE Up apart:

1. Muslim community-led.  Designed by and for the Muslim community with NO government funding or involvement.

2. Academically credible AND accessible. Designed to be read and implemented by grassroots communities.

3. Visually appealing. Printed in full color on glossy paper with easy-to-read charts, graphs, and short articles with key takeaways.

How YOU can help:

Help us deliver 1,000 copies of WISE Up into the hands of 535 members of Congress and over 465 media editors and producers across the U.S.

This Ramadan, help us send the message that Islam and Muslims are NOT the problem. We are the solution.

“Thank you so much for taking time to meet with my staff and me, and thank you for what you are doing. Your presentation was excellent! I look forward to reading [WISE Up] and applying the information.”

- Ken Miller, Chief of Police, Greenville Police Department

"WISE Up brings a wide range of wise voices to the analysis of issues critical for the American Muslim community and for all Americans - the challenges of Islam in America, Islamic responses to extremist ideology, preventing extremist recruitment. We urgently need to hear the Muslim men and women, scholars and activists, civic and religious leaders who have contributed to this critically important report."

- Diana Eck, Ph.D., Professor of Comparative Religion and Indian Studies and Director of the Pluralism Project, Harvard University

WISE Up is a welcomed and important tool for our veteran members across the country who are working to combat anti-Muslim hate and misinformation in their communities.”

- Scott Cooper, Director of National Security Outreach at Human Rights First, Founder of Veterans for American Ideals

"Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we join forces to combat hatred in all of its forms. As a community, we have the momentum to lead, to engage in change, and to make sure that our voices are forever amplified. I thank WISE's leadership...for continuing this conversation through education. Seeking knowledge has always been fundamental to Islam... unfortunately, we live in a challenging time where the current political rhetoric includes bigotry, xenophobia, and Islamophobia. However ,[WISE Up] can help to move away from such harmful rhetoric."

- U.S. Congressman Andre Carson (D-IN)

"WISE Up [is] a valuable resource for the Muslim community itself, policy makers, and politicians who are searching for more light and less heat in the current discussion regarding American Islam. Highly recommended."

- Dr. Omid Safi, Director of the Duke Islamic Studies Center, Duke University

“ [WISE Up] is a blessing for this country -- a country founded on ideals that are very much vulnerable today, very much in retreat. [WISE Up] is going to help in the healing process that this society desperately needs.”
-    Rabbi Gerry Serotta, Executive Director, Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington
