Individuals who have gone through some of the most horrific and traumatic experiences of their lives recently; their hardship and difficulties require a long healing process and we want to have the honour of sending these individuals - each who have their own story of loss, hardship and tests on a bespoke ultimate healing umrah journey. This is a gift from the community to aid them on the road to recovery, uplift them spiritually and reconnect them with Allah, the One Who is the Greatest Healer and Giver of Ease.
In August 2017, we launched the Ultimate Healing Umrah Fund. Here is how our story and project has evolved since..
Our campaign went live in August 2017 just after Ramadan. Being a pilot project with a big vision, we saw huge interest from across the sector in wanting to support this new initiative. In three months, 526 amazing human beings helped us raised £19,498, ensuring the Ultimate Healing Umrah Fund was born. This gave us the opportunity to start our nomination and selection process. Our target is £30,000 giving us the opportunity to give dozens of individuals the Ultimate Healing Experience.
Working with Sakeena Tours, we have secured a departure date as the 12th March 2018 with a return on the 24th March 2018. Flights will be taken with Saudi Airlines as direct flights with hotels selected with close proximity to the Haram and Masjid Nabawi. We are also in the process of creating packs, purchasing Ihrams and hosting pre umrah seminars, all which will be part of the Ultimate Healing experience.
The fund opened nominations to the wider public in November 2017 and has since received hundreds of nominations, all of which are deserving of such an experience. We have read so many stories of hardships, we ask Allah to grant all those suffering ease. To make our selection process fair and responsible, we have compiled a committee who shifted through nominations and create da shortlist. We've now started to inform beneficiaries and some of them have already been surprised! Below are some images from the delightful experience of sharing the good news!
Your donations will bring about a healing for these individuals who have experienced trauma, loss and indeed hardship from their tests. Imagine the reward you will gain from gifting some of these individuals with an spiritually uplifting journey that they need in their life right now more than anything - to be close to Allah and to help them get there is one of the greatest actions you can do.
Every individual we aim to take will have survived a challenging experience. Living a life of loneliness, uncertainty, hardship and confusion is a great challenge, and we hope this spiritual journey to the heart of the holiest mosques in Islam will be the ultimate healing they need to overcome the tests of life. We will provide an blog update with videos from the journey to all our donors so you can share in this sacred healing trip. Additional to their Umrah completion (illustrated below) we will also provide a range of motivational and inspiring talks and history based excursions, giving each individual an opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of Makkah and Madinah.

All praise is due to Allah, we have reached the day of departure! After four months of tiresome efforts I am pleased to inform you all that later today our first cohort of beneficiaries will be leaving for the holy lands of Makkah and then onto Madinah.
13 unique, deserving individuals have been chosen to take part in the first Ultimate Healing Umrah journey which will see them hosted in Makkah for a period of 6 days and then in Madinah for 6 days. They will be travelling in a group of 27 which includes Mahrams and additional travellers (who'm have covered their own cost).
This journey will also see 5 team members supporting the group throughout various activities, which include the Umrah pilgrimage itself, visiting Arafat, Mina, Muzdalifa, Mount Hira, Mount Thawr. They will also be supporting the group in Madinah with Ziyarah and various activities.
We want to thank each person whom has donated and supported this project so far. May Allah accept it from us all and may he accept the Umrah of our pilgrims. We ask Allah to keep them safe throughout their trip.

We pray you are well and in the best of health. Thank to you we were able to start making the dream of being able to visit the lands of Makkah and Madinah a reality!

Below are just 4 of 12 amazing individuals whom are travelling with us this March!
Mariah is 31 years old and has never been to Umrah. She lost her young son Dawud who drowned in the family garden in April 2016. He was aged between 2. Since then she has also split from her husband and faces depression amongst other health related illnesses. She was nominated by her family whom feel her faith would hugely benefit from such a trip.
Michael suffers from cancer in the leg which he has lived with for over 10 years. Last year the cancer returned several times. He is currently using crutches and has gone through chemotherapy. Mohammed has never been to Umrah before and it has always been a dream. His daughter nominated him as the family is unable to cover the costs.
Shabbir elderly Bangladeshi man came to the UK in the 70’s. He never left the UK since and has never stepped foot outside UK Soil. He has never had the chance to marry, nor the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of becoming a father. Born in the 1940’s, he battled with immigration issues and faced constant rejections for over 20 years and then fell ill. He was given status just last month and was nominated by his support worker from the National Zakat Foundation.

Ultimate Healing Umrah - Where are we now?
The cost per person for for our Ultimate Healing Umrah is costing £1,300 per person. This includes flights, visa's, Ihram, transport, Ziyarah, hotels, breakfast, books and some meal provision. However, this does not cover logistical costs, which are just as important in delivering the project and allowing the project to grow in the future.

On this 2nd day of Hajj, the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, The Day of Arafat, millions of pilgrims have set out for the plains of Arafat after sunrise to attend the Khutba of Arafat and pray their Zuhr & Asr salat combined as stated by the Sunnah of Rasool Allah ﷺ.
Thereafter they engage in supplication to Allah سبحانه وتعالى from Zuhr to Magrib, seeking forgiveness of their Lord before setting off for Muzdhalifah. Our partners Sakeena Tours are with many pilgrims right now completing their Hajj and will be bringing us updates on the plans for the Ultimate Healing Umrah journey shortly!
