Our school is solely funded by the Muslim community for Capital Projects such as a new playground and reliable fencing. We are now facing a shortfall in funding to complete the whole site. We are reaching out to the wider Muslim community for help.
Who are we?
Taqwa School is an Australian curriculum Primary school running around the Islamic ethos and norms. We are based in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). We started operations 5 years ago in Spence ACT for students Kindergarten-Year 3 with 20 students.
Ever since we have been growing at a steady pace every year and we are now catering to Kindergarten -Year 6 with 100 plus students.
Our current site is rented and has limitations for growth. We are funded 100% by the local Muslim community and grants thanks to the local and federal governments.
Who are our students?
Our students and families are mainly Australian first-generation migrants from all parts of the world. We are a low fee-paying school attracting families from different socio-economic backgrounds.
The good news
Taqwa school has been granted a spacious plot of land thanks to the ACT government, in Moncrieff ACT. With their help, we have been able to build a primary school building.
Your funds will help us to achieve the following:
* A secure a reliable perimeter fencing system.
* Landscaping and playground equipment - accommodating 200 children
