I am a graduate of General Diploma Section of IOU. I live Cotabato City, Philippines and I am an Electronics Engineer by profession...I have two works at the same time, as a college instructor and technical vocational trainer/assessor...and am very busy with my work in the morning that I [barely] have some time for rest, because of the tight schedule in two schools...But while I was working, something [was] bothering my mind and heart, it seems like my nafs is asking me “Why is it that you have so much knowledge in worldly affairs, but you don’t have that much knowledge in Islam?” So I decided that aside from working, I also wanted to enroll to a madrasah or any Islamic school or find someone to teach me Islam. [However] the schedule just didn’t work because my job consumes all the time of the day. So I started searching the internet ... and tried many websites until I finally found Islamic Online University. At the very first course (Foundations of Islamic Studies I) I [was] very moved by the way Dr. Bilal Philips explained everything, and I felt in my heart that I should focus on this one because I know that I would learn things in this website.

Because of IOU, I have learned so many things about Islam, and I have realized that if you really want to learn, nothing is impossible because there are so many books, lectures, and other things that are available on the Internet. You just need to have a sincere intentions and search for it.
