Extend a helping hand to the ill refugees and marginalized patients at the East Jerusalem Hospitals.

Save Mohammed and his friends ...

Mohammed, 6 years old and in the first grade, came from Jabalia, Gaza with his grandmother to Al Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem. His parents’ permit to accompany him was denied by the Israeli authorities.

Mohammad suffers from a life-threatening cardiac infection, and needs an urgent surgery so he can return to his family and friends.

Help Mohammad and other children to continue receiving specialized treatment at the six Jerusalem hospitals.

Your contribution will be giving a patient in need the gift of healing, health, and well-being. Together we will keep the spirit of giving alive.

Maria needs your help!

Born with a congenital heart defect, Maria a 25 days old infant from Jabalia, was immediately transferred to Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem for an operation. Her parents were denied entry permission to Jerusalem and so she was accompanied by her grandmother.

Her grandmother prays she will get back to her mother who does not stop crying. Maria, the angelic infant, is in dire need for the operation. Without the services provided by Jerusalem hospitals, the chances of survival of children like Maria are very low.

Support East Jerusalem hospitals to continue providing treatment for children like Maria.

Help Saja with her Cancer treatment

Saja, 6 years from Yatta, Hebron, suffers from cancer and undergoes intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy, only available at the specialized pediatric unit at the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem. Despite her young age and the pain that accompanies the treatment, the beauty of her smile and her radiant eyes are the first to greet her visitors. Saja’s mother says she is responding to the treatment and her doctors are optimistic she will recover from the disease.

Augusta Victoria Hospital and the other five hospitals in the East Jerusalem Hospital Network are facing a financial crisis.

Without your support, how will children like Saja receive necessary treatment by the Jerusalem hospitals?

Help Amani with her Kidney Dialysis Treatment!

“I dream of becoming a teacher to instill values of patience, faith and strength in future generations” -- Amani, 9-year-old girl from the village of Beit Iksa near Ramallah, West Bank

For the last 3 years, Amani has been suffering from renal failure and is undergoing treatment in the dialysis unit at the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem three times a week; the only hospital providing pediatric dialysis medical care in her area.  Amani has many aspirations; the largest is to regain her normal life.

Help Amani and other children to continue receiving specialized treatment at the six Jerusalem hospitals.

Your contribution will be giving a patient in need the gift of healing, health, and well-being.

**************************************************************************

Over five million Palestinians including refugees and marginalized patients  are able to receive needed specialized medical care services at the East Jerusalem hospitals, which are services otherwise unavailable to them in the West Bank and Gaza.  Without receiving this medical care, the patients face serious risks of ailment and life-threatening diseases ranging from cancer, neonatal intensive care, heart failures, and children’s dialysis.  Due to Israeli restrictions on residency status, these patients are unable to obtain medical insurance coverage in Jerusalem, and have historically relied on external support to cover the costs of their much needed medical care.

However, the recent US- government budget cuts of $25 million to the East Jerusalem Hospital Network (EJHN) is impeding to the ability of the East Jerusalem hospitals to provide the medical care needed to these vulnerable patients.

This holiday season, Taawon is helping EJHN provide the much needed services and care to vulnerable refugees and marginalized patients by launching this appeal to generous supporters around the world.

About the East Jerusalem Hospital Network (EJHN)

EJHN consists of six hospitals that provide tertiary referral care, for services otherwise unavailable through the Palestinian Ministry of Health, to Palestinian patients, in particular refugees and marginalized people.

The six hospitals provide services such as cancer treatment, cardiac and eye surgeries, neonatal intensive care and pediatric cardiology, children’s dialysis and physical rehabilitation. Additionally, through a formal agreement with UNRWA, the Augusta Victoria Hospital  provides critical treatment for Palestinian refugees.

Without your contribution, the EJHN will be unable to continue to provide adequate medical care to an already vulnerable population.

Give the Gift of Iftar to Fasting Families in Gaza

Dear Taawon Community Member,

With the holy month of Ramadan upon us, our thoughts turn to the families in Gaza who struggle to put food on the table after a long day of fasting. Imagine going without food all day, only to find that you can't afford a nutritious meal at iftar! It's a heartbreaking reality that many families in Gaza face every day.

With your help we can make a difference in the lives of these families by joining hands and supporting them through our crowdfunding campaign. By purchasing fresh food items from small farmers in Gaza, we not only provide food to those in need but also create a source of income for the locals.

So let's make this Ramadan a little brighter for those who need it the most. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. Together, we can provide one family, one meal, and one small farmer at a time with the gift of iftar.

Join Taawon in this incredible movement and help us make a difference. Donate today, ask your friends and family to join you and let's make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Sincerely,
