1. Develop confidence and professionalism by practicing presentation, public speaking, and problem solving skills,
2. Meet and network with a diverse amount of peers who share the same talents and interests,
3. Express their thoughts and ideas through various creative mediums,
4. Learn strategies to deal with stereotypes and prejudices against Islam and Muslims.

The Rundown

ADAMS youth took 13 MSA's (Muslim Student Association) to the regional tournament in DC. Of those 13, around 60 qualified for nationals. Here is a breakdown of what we need:

Approximately $350 per youth for:

• Round trip tickets to Houston, TX (Where MIST Nationals will be held)
• 2 nights in a hotel
• Food for 3 days

These youth are intelligent, resourceful, and dedicated. Even though we have this LaunchGood Campaign up, they are still finding ways to raise money in order to attend. Here is what they are working on:

• Car Wash
• Food Sales
• Yard Sales
• Henna parties
• Door-to-Door donation requests
• Contacting local businesses for sponsorship

They have already raised over $1000 by doing carwashes and bake sales! 

As you can see, these youth are serious about going, and we mean it when we say every little bit helps. All of the students that plan on going are doing something to help. They are willing to go the extra mile for what they believe in, because they know the benefits of attending. Let's not let their efforts go to waste.
