The Islamic Society of Coachella Valley was recently targeted by an arsonist in a hate crime. The crime took place on a Friday shortly before congregational prayers were to occur. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the mosque is severely damaged. Please support our efforts to restore the Islamic Society of Coachella Valley.
Hate crimes against Muslims are on the rise throughout the United States. During these difficult times, it's important for Muslims to show that we will not be victims of our circumstances. Rather, we will come together to demonstrate our relentless good will for our communities and society at large.
Although the Masjid had insurance, it was insufficient to cover the entire loss. For this reason, the funds will be used to repair and replace all that is damaged; including the building structure, electrical and HVAC equipment, furniture, office equipment, prayer hall carpets, and more.
