Over 836,210 Rohingya refugees settled in Cox's Bazar have no access to dental care

An estimated 65% of Rohingya refugees have some form of oral health disease. The Mobile Dental Clinic will serve the marginalized and under-serviced population of refugees in Cox's Bazar, providing free dental services. With so much reward for visiting the sick, how about helping cure them? Through providing for the basic needs of people, we build healthy smiles and hopeful hearts. 

6 YEARS OF SERVICE

The Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations (UOSSM) is a medical relief organization and registered charity in Canada. Based on a vision to provide healthcare indiscriminately to victims of war, UOSSM:

•  operates 16 hospitals and serves 50,000 patients monthly in Syria

•  supports 120 hospitals and 200 medical points with supplies

•  trained 7,100 students in emergency medicine

•  provides psychosocial support to 20-30 patients per day

FIRST MOBILE DENTAL CLINIC

UOSSM-Canada and ICNA Relief will operate a mobile dental clinic, serving men, women and children across refugee camps. The clinic is unique for the following reasons:

• It is the first dental clinic in the Rohingya camps.
• The clinic will prescribe and dispense medicines on the spot for the common ailments and provide referral to hospitals for extreme cases.
• Free dental services will be provided by dentists and dental assistants.
• The clinic will treat an estimated 1,500 beneficiaries per month and 18,000 beneficiaries over 12 months.
