More than 80,000 refugees live in Arsal area in Bekaa area in Lebanon since 4 years in very bad living conditions, and the most of them are elderly people and children
Every year the snow cover 110 camps on these area and cause lost in lives as well destroy hundreds of very light tents of refugees. Refugees suffering a lot to still alive on the face of harsh winter where their camps altitudes range from 1,300 to 1,400 metres.
Unfortunately this winter weather is one of the worst condition weathers that refugees faced ever.
Last Sunday (Norma) storm came with heavy snow that destroyed hundreds of tents and caused forced displacement for people while they have been without shelter.
Refugees in Arsal living in very light tents made by wood covered by thin plastic sheets.
Last Sunday Norma storm come and destroyed hundreds of these tents as well sinking hundreds tents as well.
When winter come you tried to protect your self as you can; you wear a heavy clothes and stay in warm place near your fireplace or near heater
80,000 refugees in Arsal most of them elderly people and children use the same clothes that they have since they displaced 5 years ago ans they do not have money to buy heavy clothes or bring heating materials to warm them selves and their children
