How You Can Help

Every year the Islamic Center at NYU works with Islamic Relief to raise awareness and contribution for a humanitarian crisis. This year the famine which threatens the lives of so many, and has already taken the lives of too many of our brothers and sisters in Yemen and East Africa, requires our immediate attention. By donating directly to our Launch Good campaign and purchasing tickets to our benefit Iftaar, you are part of a larger effort to alleviate the pain and suffering brought on by the famine and lack of access to clean water, and further the efforts to eradicate hunger in these regions.

During this month of fasting, with every mid day hunger pain that you feel, please remember our brothers and sisters who aren’t sure where their next meal will come from. For far too many, hunger pains and dehydrations are a constant reality.  Our greatness lies in our ability to feel empathy for one another, even continents away.
