So many of us can enjoy taking part in programs and trips without much thought, however, an individual with a Disability, whether Physical, Cognitive, Emotional, Visible or Invisible, often needs supports and accommodations to enjoy the same activities. Help your Brothers and Sisters have the opportunity to visit the Blessed Kaaba, perform Umrah and feel the spiritual closeness we all crave this coming December 2017 in shaa Allah. MUHSEN Umrah provides the platform for this dream trip to be accessible to ALL.
The impact of an Umrah trip catered to individuals with Disabilities is immense. This is a pioneering trip for our community, where specific individual accommodations will be provided to each attendee to enable them to perform Umrah. As we embark on this journey, MUHSEN Staff members will be assigned to each family and individual, Adults and Children with a Disability to assist them and provide services such as American Sign Language (ASL), Specialized Visual Supports, Wheelchair Assistance, Adapted Schedules, Sensory Care Materials, Quiet Rooms and Staffed Rooms for ChildCare. In addition, primary caregivers will also be provided Respite and a break from caregiving duties.
By supporting this project, your funds will provide subsidized costs for 12 Trained Assistants to accompany and support our Brothers & Sisters daily during this Umrah. Sacrificing their own time while at Umrah, their own ibaadah, they are striving for excellence in serving their brother's and sister's needs every step of the way along with being blessed to be lead by Shaykh Tariq Musleh, Asst. Imam, Mecca Center and Graduate of the Islamic University of Madina-tul-Munawaara. In addition, Materials, Designated Spaces in Hotels, Adaptive Equipment and Tracking Devices will be provided for this unique group.
