The MUHSEN organization will strive to lead in creating a better understanding of Disabilities in our communities nationwide and building a better future for these “Special” People of Jannah, in shaa Allah where they are welcomed and all their needs are addressed as they are accepted by all.  In our communities today, many Disabled individuals do not have access to Masjid programs, do not feel welcome and are not catered to in order to access their deen and fellow community members. Where is our compassion and understanding of our obligation as Muslims to help and support them?

A Growing Concern

With staggering statistics and increasing numbers of Muslims affected by various Disabilities, we need to take a stand for these often overlooked people around us. Autism, Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Vision Impairment, Hearing Impairment, ADD, OCD, Muscular Dystrophy and Parkinson's are just a few disorders that drastically impact so many lives. Whether brought on by old age, illness, or a Physical, Intellectual, Neurological or Emotional Disability, anyone, adults and children alike can face these tribulations and families everywhere are being tested and are in need of our help.

Our Initiative

Founded by Sh. Omar Suleiman and launched in September, 2014, MUHSEN is in its development stages and funding is required to establish it as a non profit organization to serve the communities' needs. "This is a project of Ihsaan that the masjid should have."
