On the heels of being the target of a 9-man militia plot to kill Muslim children and burn the Masjid and school of the community of Islamberg located in Hancock, NY, The Muslims of America Inc, is holding a #dontfearislam conference on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Muslim Community Center of the Capital District located at: 21 Lansing Rd. N., Schenectady, NY 12304.
Media outlets did not know about the terror plot to victimize their Muslim families, much less cover it until a grassroots campaign was started. We are now launching a series of world class conferences to come together with community partners to discuss Islamophobia, share experiences and offer ways to overcome it.
The inaugural conference on November 14th opens its doors at 9:00am to bring together lawyers, activists, educators and professionals from all over the country to talk about the war on Muslim children, the struggle of Muslims in America, the #hateislam rhetoric in the current presidential campaign and the armed anti-Muslim mosque protests. Panelists will share their stories of outreach within Muslim communities and also how to build interfaith alliances. Finally we discuss keeping children and adults physically and emotionally healthy during these trying times.
Islamophobia is rampant and has taken a dangerous turn. Until Muslim school children can attend school without being arrested, threatened or targeted, then they are not safe. Muslims are being killed, children are being harassed and many turn a blind eye, if not applaud it. This conference will also allow the youth to share their unique stories and successes.
This project's goal is to raise money to support the inaugural conference as well as a series of future events on Islamophobia in America. Your donation to this project will pay for expenses the professional speakers, special guests, venue rentals and materials.

Did you hear what's happening on Islamberg on Sunday, May 15, 2016? Anti-Muslim bikers rallied up hundreds from across the country to come drive by the small village. However, they are going to be surprised because hundreds of interfaith friends throughout the entire country are coming to stand with Islamberg. The showing of support has garnered the attention of media outlets world-wide. This is all good.

Your generous donations have allowed us to secure speakers, a venue, materials and food for this important conference on Contemporary Issues of Religion in America: Discussing, Dissecting and Destroying Islamophobia planned for November 14, 2015 from 9:00AM – 5:00PM at the Muslim Community Center of the Capital District in Schenectady (greater Albany).
Because so many of you have given so generously and asked that your contribution be used toward the scholarship fund, we have significantly reduced the registration fee, essentially creating a partial scholarship for everyone – in your honor! Please tell all in your networks that affordability should not be a barrier to attendance.
Additionally, we would like to help attendees who are coming from a distance by aiding in carpooling costs. The only way we can pull this off is if we raise an additional $1,500.00.
