Reading, literacy, and education should be at the very heart of our lives and our communities. So shouldn’t our masajid highlight this importance by being home to a selection of Islamic and Arabic books to instill this love?

Imagine with me- the quiet hum of college-aged study groups, the warm smile of young mothers meeting over a good book while their toddlers quietly stack Arabic letter blocks and flip through Islamic board books, school-aged students being tutored in Arabic while their siblings finish up homework assignments after school, and evening work meetings with salat al-ishaa afterwards.
A lending library, so that you don’t have to personally own every book to give your children the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the Arabic language and books that promote Islamic character and understanding. A corner for Islamic trivia games and Salah board games. A play rug for toddlers with Montessori inspired Islamic play materials that ingrains the love of The Arabic language and Islamic culture right from the start. A literary meeting place for adults to hold bookclubs and unwind with a spiritually enriching book. All in a beautifully designed space that highlights Islamic design.

This would be our library and with your financial support, we can make this a reality inshallah! we have reached half of our goal. With this new campaign we hope to raise the full amount so this library can become a reality in Winter 2020 inshallah!
