In light of the current suffering of our beloved country Syria, the brain drain and the drop out of a lot of students, weakened the capacity of the current medical educational system to meet the necessary education needs, and from the firm belief of the Syrian Expatriate Medical Association- SEMA -in the importance of the medical educational process and to keep up with the latest updates in the field", SEMA holds its first annual conference under the theme "Excelling with education" from 21 to 23 June 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey. The conference will be attended by a number of elite national and international medical competencies.

The conference will include several valuable medical lectures, activities and events, in addition to a specialized workshop in the field of medical education.

The conference will also present several medical education projects, including the project of establishing SEMA Center for Medical Education and Training, which aims to qualify medical staff and raise the standards of medical education in Syria. The building will extend over 475 square meters and will consist of 4 floors, including a lecture hall, classrooms, administrative offices, sanitary facilities and students’ dormitory.

في ظل ما تعانيه حالياً بلدنا الحبيب سوريا من تهجير للعقول وانقطاع الكثير من الطلاب عن التعليم، ما أدى إلى إضعاف قدرة المنظومة التعليمية الطبية الحالية عن تلبية احتياجات التعليم الضرورية.

وانطلاقاً من إيمان الرابطة الطبية للمغتربين السوريين "سيما" بأهمية العملية التعليمية الطبية ومواكبة أحدث ما توصل إليه العلم في هذا المضمار، تطلق سيما مؤتمرها السنوي الأول تحت شعار "بالعلم نسمو" وذلك في الفترة الواقعة من 21 ولغاية 23 حزيران (يونيو) 2018 في مدينة إسطنبول التركية، بحضور نخبة من ذوي الاختصاصات الطبية العربية والعالمية، ويتضمن المؤتمر العديد من المحاضرات العلمية الطبية القيّمة وبعض الأنشطة والفعاليات، بالإضافة لورشة عمل تخصصية في مجال التعليم الطبي.

كما سيتم من خلال المؤتمر طرح عدة مشاريع تعليمية طبية من بينها مشروع بناء "مركز سيما للتعليم والتدريب الطبّي" والذي يهدف إلى تأهيل الكوادر الطبية ورفع سوية التعليم الطبي في سوريا، ويمتد المبنى على مساحة 475 م2، ويتألف من 4 طوابق ويضم قاعة للمحاضرات وقاعة دراسية ومكاتب إدارية ومرافق صحية وسكن طلابي ملحق.
