​Help Avicenna Clinic Continue Providing Free Healthcare

We are sad to say that the Avicenna Free Clinic has been destroyed by Hurricane Michael. We are eager to get back on our feet in a new clinic to continue serving the community we love. 

We are currently providing free services via a mobile clinic (see pictures below) until we can gather funds for a new building. We will also use funds for the medical equipment that was lost and to supply the services at our temporary location. Our patients need us, and we need you. Thank you.

Over 25% of Bay County Residents are Uninsured

In 2010, two Muslim physicians made it their mission to respond to what they saw as an overwhelming need in their community: twenty five percent of Bay County citizens are uninsured and have no access to healthcare. Therefore, this clinic was born and was committed to helping the underserved, the uninsured, and the underinsured of Bay County. Since its opening, Avicenna has seen thousands of Bay County residents for all sorts of health care issues. Many patients rely on Avicenna for preventative services, diagnosing diseases/cancer, and to provide them prescription medications that they cannot afford. Avicenna Clinic also holds public health seminars; past ones include domestic violence, teenage pregnancy, swine flu, and mental health in the youth.
