If the best flowers in a garden are picked first, then Ammar is no exception. Nothing can beat seeing his contagious smile and his (literally) larger-than-life afro on a daily basis in Mudd library or on the Bonner porch. No matter how bad his day would be he would always listen and smile. Countless people will tell you that Ammar was the first friend they made at Oberlin. We owe you so much for the short time you spent with us that we can never pay you back. But a few dollars will come a long way to helping Ammar's family with the costs of the funeral, the memorial service, and observing Muslim traditions and rituals. To honor Ammar's life, his family will donate the rest of the funds to a cause he cared about. But most importantly, we owe you, Ammar, a thank you. Thank you for being a friend, a role model, and an inspiration.
