Islamic Society of Greater Harrisburg (ISGH) is providing Islamic education since its inception in 1975 and started a full-time Hifz program back in 2012. 

Alhamdulillah, ISGH Hifz Academy is running very successfully with the addition of Mufti Raihan ul Hoque, current Principal/Imam at ISGH, who designed and developed the Hifz program to memorize the Holy Quran by heart in such a way that it focuses more on correct rules of pronunciation (Tajweed) and measured recitation (Tarteel) to understand the appropriate rhythmic tones for the perfect recitation of the Glorious Qur'an. 

Also, the qualified Qur'an teachers at the Academy are applying the best available techniques and methods for memorizing the Holy Book, revision methodology, deep understanding of the Tajweed rules, and mastery of Qirat recitation. Hifz students are also taught core-subjects such as Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies through PA Cyber School to stay on-par with the regular public school going students. 

This hard effort is absolutely yielding results, Alhamdulillah, with 26 full-time Hifz students currently enrolled that are making great progress, and with 6 graduated Huffaz, and 4 upcoming Huffaz graduations, the methodology Mufti Raihan has devised is certainly yielding amazing results where most of the dedicated kids are memorizing Qur'an in a short span of 2.5 to 3 years at their younger age. Early Qur'an memorization helps them pursue further Islamic knowledge to become an Islamic scholar as well as excel in academics to become professionals, Alhamdulillah, the best of both worlds.
