Help poor victims struggling to survive from the devastating flood that hit Bangladesh rebuild their mosque to provide them with a clean and safe place to pray.

Help Flood Victims Rebuild Community
The rampant floods in Bangladesh have left the small and poor village of Padum Shahar struggling to recover from the devastation. Despite facing damages on crops and their overall livelihood, many people in the village continue to gather for prayer.

However, the only mosque near the area had been destroyed during the flood, and the community is struggling to raise the funds necessary to rebuild it. The mosque has also served as a place where food is distributed among those in need and less unfortunate. It is a vital aspect of the Padum Shahar community.

In the picture below, the villagers gather for their weekly prayer on gunny sack mats, enduring both rain and the blazing sun. It has been this way for the past five months following the floods.

They Need Your Help

This village is deep in poverty and unable to rebuild the mosque up on their own, as they are already struggling to survive after the devastating flood that lasted for a whole month.  The houses were destroyed, the crops were ruined, and the village resources were wiped clean. The roads are unsafe, and the village people are struggling to get back on their feet.

Letter from mosque's leader, A.H.M Sulaiman

"With great love, respect, and gratefulness, I give you my salaam. I request your attention and time. We are currently working towards rebuilding our mosque. As we have even now yet to build a ceiling, in order to complete construction, we humbly ask for the kind help of our friends, relatives, and respectfully all those who are willing and able. All donations would be gratefully accepted and appreciated. We are accepting both construction materials and money as donations."

Please help us rebuild the mosque to provide the village people with a clean and safe place to practice their faith. Any amount would greatly help them. The funds would go directly to the President of the mosque, A.H.M Sulaiman. The remaining money will go towards helping people of Padum Shahar recover from the flood.

May Allah bless you for your generosity.
