Creating new lives in America

                                                Help Build Dreams Campaign

                                                                 EPIMONIA

                                   Creating new lives in America

We need your help to continue our mission. The funds raised by Epimonia will go refugees non-profit organizations across America to help with education and language learning, adapting trades and professions into their new communities and manufacture new products. 50% of campaign funds go directly to these organizations in the important work they do. The other 50% supports Epimonia’s efforts to develop and manufacture new products. Our model is to sustainably raise funds through fashion apparel and accessories sales in order to provide a boost newly arrived refugees who aspire to become self-sufficient contributing citizens in the United States. Thank you for support!

Epimonia is a humanitarian fashion start-up that provides customers with fashionable and innovative products that connect with the refugees and their issues.  We integrate the recycled life jackets that refugees have worn through their journeys into many of our items. 50% of our profits are donated to support refugees in America.

#Buildingdreams: The hope of pursuing the American dream brought people from around the world. Once here, the refugees pursued the American dream with the same persistence and energy that got them here. Almost all of us are here as immigrants or the descendants of immigrants. Together we made this country a success and a shining beacon to the world. We are stronger as people coming here join with us to pursue dreams.

Transforming Tragedies into Opportunity

There are currently 28.5 million refugees fleeing their homelands all over the world due to war, political unrest and corruption, terrorism, and famine.  Over 50% of the refugees are under 18 years of age.  Global refugees are looking for a safe and stable new home where they can settle with their families and make a life of value and a chance to prosper.  These immigrants look to become valuable, contributing members of a community.  America has been a dream of most refugees where freedom and opportunity prevail.  I am one such refugee. My dream is that many like me can successfully pursue the American dream if they get just a little help. Epimonia is my company and it embodies my dream. We are committed to helping refugees start new lives in America. One day, many of these people will be part of the American success story.

How you can make a difference, big or small...

It all begins with a helping hand. Epimonia wants to connect hands. That is why I started this business. Over time, we will share the many success stories.  Giving a little means a lot. No matter how small your contribution is, it can make a big difference in someone’s life.  Funds go to promote educational programs, language learning, and professional advancement.

This can work….I’m one of the living examples

I had the vision to make the world a better place and founded Epimonia at the University of St. Thomas during my senior year in college. My personal stories contains these elements. I was a refugee and my family wanted to pursue the American dream. I showed persistence and great drive. There is another element to this story, and it needs to be told. Along the way, Americans showed me great kindness and I got help from surprising places. It is amazing how far a little help goes. Now it is time to help other refugees with the same kindness I received and with the little bits of help they need to rebuild their lives. Keep the miracle of this country going. Remind us of what makes us great. If you want to learn more about my story: https://mohamedmalim.com/story/

Meet Ekhlas:

Ekhlas Ahmed, 25, first learned the English alphabet as a high school freshman. Despite missing two years of school after fleeing conflict in Darfur, Sudan, she went from English-learner to graduate student in half the time of many of her peers. Now she dreams of using the education she earned to help women and girls around the world get the education they deserve. Epimonia Products

Out tie-in to the refugee community is to use recycled life jackets materials to create our apparel, maintaining an awareness of the refugee crisis. These life-jackets are collected in Levos  Greece, which is currently the main hub for refugees fleeing their homelands by boat.

We need your help to continue our mission.  We will continue to donate 50% of our profits to CREATING NEW LIVES IN AMERICA.  Thank you for support!
