Help us win this election for Florida's House of Representatives District 58!

The republican in our district resigned half way into his term. This is a small special election taking place during the winter holidays to elect a new representative. We estimate that we only need between 4-7K votes to win. Opportunities like this don't come very often. We want to get into office and make waves in Florida! 

​Why now? 

A "special election" means that voting takes place outside of the traditional periods of General (2016/2020) and Mid Term (2018/2022) elections. It also means that very few people will vote in comparison to traditional election cycles. That gives independent candidates like Ahmad a fighting chance. 

 Why not run as a Dem? 

There is growing frustration with the two-party system. While progressives should remain within the Dem party and work to change it, we still need progressive independents working to build representation outside of the two parties. Ahmad for 58 is an exciting campaign because it brings progressives from the Green, Democratic, and Democratic Socialist parties together! Independents are running outside of the parties all over the nation. Bernie Sanders is one of them.

• ​Donate- all funds will be used to pay staff and cover campaign expenses like FB advertisements, mail outs, etc.

• Share- social media is important, especially for independent candidates that struggle to get mainstream media attention from local outlets. Every like, comment, and share helps spread the word to other would-be donors, volunteers, and voters!
