Can you imagine getting your period as a displaced Syrian woman and having no access to feminine hygiene products?

We were inspired by the recent Huffington Post article describing the struggles homeless women face and by activist Zahra Billo's campaign to raise funds for them. So, we decided to initiate a similar campaign to provide feminine hygiene products to Syrian refugee women and girls who are displaced with little privacy and no access to basic sanitary care.

Feminine Hygiene Care: A Neglected Need

We are quick to donate to food, health, and clothing campaigns, yet we often ignore the personal hygiene needs of women and girls. This initiative aims to preserve the dignity of Syrian refugee women by providing them with feminine hygiene products. Every woman deserves the right to be fresh and clean during her monthly cycle.

Where the Funds Will Go

All funds will go to NuDay Syria, a 501 (c) US aid organization. NuDay Syria was established in March 2011 to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of Syrians. NuDay Syria is especially concerned with the plight and vulnerability of displaced Syrian women and girls, whose needs are often overlooked and voices not heard. NuDay Syria advocates for girls and women who now find themselves with no male breadwinners and often have little skills and experience earning and providing for their families. Your donation will provide feminine hygiene kits for displaced Syrian refugee women and girls in Turkey and Syria. All donations are tax -deductible.
