Allah tells us in the Holy Quran, "you will not taste sweetness unless you spend from what is beloved to you." [3:92] Yet the donation process - for both giver and receiving organization - is incredibly cumbersome, and we want to change that In-shaa-Allah. 

We believe that the entire donation process should be easy; and our app, Feeling Blessed, simplifies every step: secure payment, emailed receipt, and donation history tracking. No more remembering URLs, login information, entering credit card information, carrying cash, and digging through emails to get tax receipts. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play, making it accessible to all smartphone users.

With the hurdles of the donation process eliminated, Feeling Blessed is your go-to giving app for any and every type of donation. Whether it’s an impulse inspired by an “Alhamdulillah" moment, a small weekly recurring donation to your loca mosque, a one-off at a community fundraising dinner, or your yearly Zakat, Feeling Blessed is the difference between almost giving and giving.

By providing a win-win solution for both donor and charitable organization, Feeling Blessed creates an ecosystem in which both parties can better please Allah. We began working on the first version of Feeling Blessed in early 2014. We launched in July and began with our hometown masjid, Nueces Mosque, in Austin. By the end of the year, we flushed out all the bugs and were ready to offer to other local masajid. For the next 2 years, we underwent a few more revisions and signed up every masjid and Islamic school in Austin. We have since facilitated a total of $72,000 in donations.

This year, our goal is to bring a bigger and better version of the Feeling Blessed app to donors and charities across the globe. Application improvements include a new, refined design as well as helpful features such as history graphs, credit card scanner functionality, recurring donation setup, and more. The planned launch date is March 2017.
