“To God we belong and unto Him we all return”

It is with a heavy heart we announce the sad passing of our dear friend Tariq Ejaz’s wife sister Saadia Hameedi after a painful and agonizingly sorrowful battle with Stage 4 Cancer.

The Purpose
This campaign was started a few weeks ago to facilitate the difficulties she had with her aggressive and severe illness, fighting for her life against all odds. The campaign was meant to help Tariq with timely financial support and critical costs of his wife’s cancer treatment, household expenses and other related expenditures, while being a source of strength and comfort to their innocent children.

The Passing
As 2018 approached on the night of December 31 st , our dear friend Tariq’s wife lost her battle to the unforgiving venom of cancer and passed away just a few minutes before the clock struck midnight.

The Journey Ahead
Indeed, to God we belong and unto Him we all return. May Allah swt expiate sister Saadia Hameedi of all her sins, elevate her status in His eyes in the hereafter and grant her the soothing comfort of the highest levels in Paradise. We pray that may Allah swt continue to have her benefit in the grave and on the Day of Judgment from the Sadaqa Jaariya (good continuous charity) she has left behind through all her good works, knowledge, deeds, sacrifices and efforts in the community.
While we all feel the extreme pain and sorrow at her passing, at the same time we encourage everyone to make sincere dua (prayer) for her aggrieved husband, kids (15, 13, 7), parents, siblings, in-laws and many other family members as well as beloved friends she left behind in mourning.
The more time passes, the more we shall all realize how in such a short time on this earth, Saadia seemed to have positively affected and influenced her friends, family and all of humanity in more ways than one.
Her beauty, spirit, generosity, compassion, patience and unflinching devotion to others – including her own husband and children – was exemplary and truly profound in ways beyond words can ever describe.
The journey ahead isn’t over. It has just begun. While Saadia may not be with us anymore, her spirit and dreams live on. Her husband and children have to walk the road ahead on this journey of life, upholding her dreams and hopes. The journey is just beginning for them.

The Pledge
Tariq and his haplessly young children need our unconditional help right now, more than ever before! We have set up this fund for Tariq, and are actively contributing to helping him out during this tough juncture in his life.
We plead to you with all our hearts to kindly continue to spread the message and purpose of this campaign, as there are still many financial hurdles to come for Tariq and his mother-less small children in the near future.  

We thank you for all your contributions, duas (prayers) and efforts so far. Let us join hands and help our brother, and our dear friend Tariq. 

Let us make this new year and many more ahead a truly unique one by doing our part and making an impact on Tariq and his innocent children’s lives.

The gift of life is just as beautiful as the gift of hope. Sister Saadia has lost her life. Let us not deprive her family of the gift of hope at least!
