Paisley needs your love and support to help build the Rahmah School for children of Greece’s Moria Refugee Camp; please help give these innocent children an education, hope, and a chance for a better future.
After learning about the growing Middle Eastern refugee crisis at school, 6-year-old Paisley was inspired to help improve the lives of the suffering and vulnerable children of the Moria Refugee Camp any way she could. Quickly raising a thousand dollars to donate to the camp through several fundraisers, and developing Superhero Capes to send to the kids to acknowledge each child’s strength and determination, it became clear that what these children desperately need is an education.
Uprooted from their homes and living in “the worst refugee camp on earth” (according to BBC news), the 3,000+ kids suffering in the Moria Refugee Camp have seen real-life villains and have survived a harrowing journey no child should have to take. Most of these children have never seen the inside of a classroom and have no exposure to formal education. Paisley hopes to refocus international attention on these children and give them the promise of a better future through the Rahmah School. The Arabic word “Rahmah” translates to “compassion” and “nurturing love”, which is what we hope everyone who encounters this cause will feel for these vulnerable children.
With your donations, the non-profit organization Paisley’s Pals will build the Rahmah School in an existing structure connected to Team Humanity’s “Hope and Peace Center”, which is currently the only safe place for the children of Moria to play. Each dollar donated will go towards the initial construction of the school, necessary learning supplies, and the cost of leasing the space. Depending on the level of funding, the project will create additional opportunities to provide clean drinking water, food, and shower facilities, which are luxuries we so often take for granted.
Since starting Paisley’s Pals in 2018, Paisley has already touched the lives of thousands and received praise and attention from all over the world. Last year Paisley collected and hand-delivered over 500 lbs. of supplies, lovies (a 5-year-old’s most prized possession) and hundreds of “blessing bags” to refugee children in Central America. In addition to raising just over a thousand dollars for Team Humanity in December of 2018, Paisley’s Pals has also been working hard to design and send superhero capes to her new friends at the Hope and Peace Center.
Incredibly, earlier this year Paisley was nominated for the Nansen Refugee Award handed out by the UNHCR (United Nations Refugee Agency). This prestigious award has been given to people like Eleanor Roosevelt and Senator Edward Kennedy for their charitable work.
Created with lots of love and a superhero mentality (and perhaps a handmade superhero cape), Paisley's Pals wants to provide a safe place for the children of the Moria refugee camp to learn, explore, imagine and create.
Your donations will fund the initial $25,000 cost to set up the school and provide supplies, and every thousand dollars above this target will help keep the doors open for an additional month. By meeting our goal of $50,000 we will ensure the children of Moria have a safe place for learning for at least the next three years.
Follow us on the Paisley’s Pal blog and through the hashtags #PaisleysPals and #RahmahSchool for updates and exciting information.
Every single donation will help turn the big dreams of a small girl into a tangible reality, shining a ray of light into a place that is so dark for so many kids. In serving the best interests of children, we serve the best interests of all humanity.

Refugee Camp Visit
Wow!! I just returned from a visit to the Moria refugee camp in Lesvos, Greece. I’ve raised $25,000 already and the education center will open in just 2 weeks!! I was thrilled to meet many of the children that will attend school and bring 2300 water balloons for the BEST water balloon fight ever ❤️ I bought 25 huge carpets for soft seating in the school and purchased desk and chairs while I was out there. Stay tuned for the big reveal ❤️🙏🌎✌️
