We have 23 acres of land. We found a spot that we want to build the Masjid at. In this picture below is an air view of the property. I outlined it in black. If you look at the picture there is a white circle on the road. a small way above that we want to clear and lay the foundation for the masjid Insha Allah.

She has been a nurse for 3 years now and loves to help people in need. She got into nursing because she loves people and enjoys caring for people. She is one of the volunteer medical staff that will be going out in our mobile treatment center.

Today is a slow day. The weather is rainy. So I decided to start setting up the community radio station. We have a CB and a Ham radio. I was surprised to see that the cb did not have a plug. So I had to connect it to one of our solar batteries to get it to work. Your generous donations have allowed us to get started on our radio and communications station. Once we get the farms up and running we will use this stattion to communicate with our trucks who our shipping our produce and to communicate with other communites around the country.

this is just a quik update. with some of the funds we have raised so far​ we have have been able to buy 3 solar panels. we still need more things for the off the grid power source. we need to buy a inverter and more solar batteries. we want to have  20 solar batteries to get started. these battteries on average are $70 each. to be comfortable we would like to have 50 solar batteries. but 20 should do for a couple of families power needs.              One of the things we wanted to get for this project is scarce and will soon be out of stock in our area. we wanted to get this huge barn shed and use it as a office or base of operations if you will. we will do all of our day to day business out of this shed. from live streaming to organizing, and reaching out to those in need. This was in our 2nd milestone of this campaign. we were going to buy this and buy the gravel for road. Insha Allah we can raise the funds for this in the next couple of days. if not Alhamdulilah.    Todays update is to keep you updated when we spend some or all of the funds that you generously donated. As I stated in another updated that today i would go buy the fencing and this is what I was able to do today Alhamdulilah. here are some pictures and video of the fencing below

the purchase of the fencing depleted the funds we raised so far. 26 rolls of this wire fence cost nearly $1900 it actually went over what we had left after buying the power tools. But alhamdulilah we got it thanks to Allah and your generous donations.

our next milestone is raising $2000 more which would bring the campaign to $4000 in total raised. once we get that I will buy the gravel needed to pave the road and buy a big shed that we will turn into a office on the land for live streaming and day to to business.

While I was at menards I saw these wind turbines for $500 each, these will be be a great source of non-stop power for the community. One of these coupled with a decent sized battery bank could keep 1 home fully powered we can supplement any extra power with a gas generator or a small solar panel kit. the wind turbines generate power day and nigh. its windy in georgia and on the land so this would be a great need for the community.

  one of the housing homesteads was abandoned abruptly and the winds from the recent storms have nearly destroyed one of the cabins built on this particular homestead. the area was left to overgrowth and the crops that were growing on it just a couple of months ago are destroyed. we were going to move a family into this area but now we cannot while its in this state. here is a video of it below.

If you are able to give to repair this homestead on the property the family would be able to move in and leave the shelter they are currently in. Once on Alkebulan Community they will be in charge of the half acre they are on and will clear, plant, and maintain some live stock on that acre.

As stated in a earlier post I went out and purchased 2 brush cutting power tools to may clearing the land very easy. Come monday or some time this coming week I plan on spending the rest of the funds we have raised so far on the fencing. based upon the math of 10 acres to cover the perimeter of the land we will need to buy 26 rolls of 100ft wire farm fencing. as the picture  below shows they are around $70 per 100ft roll.so if I have done my math correctly then that is $1820 spent and will essentially be the remaining funds after we purchased the power tools earlier. so that will complete our first milestone in this new campaign. 

Our next milestone is to raise $2000 more bringing our new campaign to a total of $4000 raised.  once we reach that milestone we will start paving the goad with gravel to make it less hazardous to drive upon and build a office on the land for day to day operations.  We rely on you to help get this built for the ummah. As stated in a earlier update as soon as we reached $2000 I would go buy the stuff to to start clearing my land.  we bought 2 of these in the picture with saw blade attachments to chop through brush. I am going to buy the fencing stuff on monday Insha Allah.

With this brush cutting tool myself and my wife can clear an acre of land in a day then spend the next day bag and trashing the brush. we may even through the brush in a pit and do a controlled burn of it.

After we reach our next milestone of $4000 we plan on paving the road with gravel and setting up a office on the land for every day Community business, we want to buy these sheds in the video posted below to make that happen.

Allah is truly kind :)

   we have been sheltering two families that needed some help escaping Hurricane irma in florida. They were sleeping in our big cabin tent that we use as a masjid. The storm has moved into the Atlanta area and the effects of it can be felt even as far out as we are in bartow. the winds picked up a lot. even though they were not really bad but it made it very uncomfortable for them while they were staying in a tent. we got them hotel rooms for the week.  We had to use some of the building funds we raised to help these families in need. they had lost everything. All they had was the cloths on their backs. Being the Muslims we are we could not stand idle and not help people who were suffering. This is the foundation of this community we are building, We strive to help those in need. mostly among the ummah but we will not turn anyone away.

    We are $300 away from reaching our first milestone in our new launchgood campaign for the farming community that we are building.

Once we reach $2000 raised we will buy the power tools needed to mass clear and get started on the fence around the property. the power tool we are going to use to mass clear the brush is essentially a weed wacker with a saw blade attachment. its a pretty awesome tool and makes clearing brush  very easy. 

This is a make shift gate we put  up a acre into the property. this gate blocks the road to the housing area. as you can see its massively overgrown everywhere. Ill post a video of it as well so you all can get a better view of the over growth that needs to be cleared before we can build anything else.

once we reach $4000 raised we will buy the gravel and start to gravel 10 acres worth of road. the road is very raw and can be hazardous to vehicles. the road as it is makes it very difficult to bring heavy equipment and trucks onto the property to do any work.

This picture of the road above does not show how bad the road is but it does show some of the massive overgrowth. I am going to post a video below which shows me  trying to repair a portion of a road that is the most damaged.

This is a better picture of the road but it does not show how bad the road is. As I stated in other emails paving the road with gravel is much cheaper than the other alternatives. as you can see there is A lot of overgrowth. one of the things we want to do is Buy a couple of weed eaters modified with a brush cutting blade so we can quikly mass clear the areas needed. I wanted to present to you all a couple of housing options and one that we are strongly considering. I took a video over a year ago of these huge sheds that normally sell for $5000. but that is only if you buy it as is or have them build it for you, if you just buy the shed kit and build it yourself then its only $1000. the shed kit comes with all the pieces needed to build it in a couple of hours.

The link above ​is to a video of one of the sheds that I posted on our facebook page. This is one of the ones we are strongly considering. because they are huge, durable, and can be easily turned into a small off the grid farming home. If you put several of them together it can easily be turned into a family home and still maintain the space restrictions on the property that we set to insure the maximum amount of people can be housed. The other options we were considering were Yurts. I recently watched a Turkish show called "Resurrection Eretugrul" (Probably spelled it horribly wrong) The yurts in that show were huge and very spacious. After doing some research I was able to discern that they adapt nicely when outfitted with modern technology. The yurts a bit more expansive and the material is heavy fabric which in my opinion will degrade quikly and are more likely to catch fire. even more so during the extremely hot and dry summer months. 

we would like to start off with three of the sheds. so that would be at least $3000.  As i said in the other email I sent everyone that our ultimate funding goal for this campaign is 20k. I am starting low to see how it goes Insha Allah everything goes well and I can raise the funding bar up. We have a lot more than just housing. as I stated we hace 3 acres of cotton field almost ready to be harvested, we also want to clear and plant 3 acres of wheat, we need to clear the housing area so we can lay the foundations and run the piping from the well so the sheds can have running water, plus we need to get the water filter and heaters etc. so we have a lot to do. check out our new campaign by using the first link. Dear brothers and sisters,

        I wanted to give you a break down of phase two of our funding campaign. Last campaign our focus was primarily the well. Alhamdulilah thanks first to Allah then to your generous donations we were able to purchase one. We also were able to buy solar panels and a new generator so that we would have a off the grid power source. Our focus is clearing more land, Housing, planting new fields, putting up a fence, and paving the road with gravel. I listed these things and the reason behind them in the new campaign above. We also want to raise enough to be able to hire from among the ummah who need employment to do the work needed. For example wee need to clear the land, plow and till the ground, plant the crop,  Build the housing, help lay the piping from the well to the housing area, put up the fence , etc. The goal of the new campaign is $7,000. but the reality is we need $20,000 to get this done and finished.

Insha Allah this will be our last fundraiser. we cleared and planted 3 acres of cotton field a year ago.  Our goal is to Insha Allah be able to use the cotton to make fabrics and cloths etc to sell and to transport to the needy ummah all over the world. So by the grace of Allah we are slowly getting to were we want to be.

We need your help to get there, your generosity made it possible for us to get where we are now and may Allah reward you greatly for that. But we are only half way there. Now the real work comes in. We have laid the foundations now we need to build on those foundations so we can house and feed the ummah that need it.

Here is a picture of one of the roads on the property. we want to pave it with gravel for a couple reasons. One gravel is cheaper and easy to spread on the road. Also withe Anti Muslim and racial tension in America it will be a security measure. gravel makes noise when driven upon and walked upon. so no one will be able to walk or drive on the land without being heard.

As far as a fence all we have is a make shift gate a acre into the property that closes off the housing area. Here is a picture of it of it below. The fence is also a security measure. Not only will it define the borders of the community. but help to keep unwanted people out and secure those who are living in the community.

We plan to plant 3 acres of wheat fields Insha Allah. Withe the cotton and the wheat fields a long side of our fruit orchard we if Allah wills should not need any more donations. with these things in place we can sell, ship, and give to those who need it. But we need your help and generosity one more time to get this done. Insha Allah you are able to help again. If you cant but want to. I ask Allah to reward your intention as if you did give again. May Allah protect and bless the Ummah all overt he world. May Allah raise up strong brothers and sisters from among us to lead, protect, and defend the ummah, May Allah make us all among the strangers. Amen.

I hope all is well with you and your families. Alhamdulilah thanks to your generosity we were able to get a lot done. we planted 3 acres of cotton field that will Insha Allah be a constant source of Income for us, and we can turn the cotton into to textiles and fabrics so we can make Muslim crafted shirts, socks, thobes, rugs, and other clothing for men, women, and children. Most we will give to those in need of it. We will sell a small amount of it just to cover our expanses and pay the brothers and sisters for the labor. Allahu Akbar we are a step closer to being a self sustaining community.

We are doing one last fundraiser. Insha Allah After this fundraiser we can start housing the families that have been waiting to come onto the land. This fundraiser is strictly about housing and clearing the land. the sooner we get the land cleared,The sooner we can get the housing area built and get families on the land to maintain our farms and cotton fields. We are having a big event on the property August 5th-11th. I hit the road soon. I want to get there early and get this set up. Allahu Akbar :). Our focus this event is to plant a 20 tree fruit tree orchard and clear enough land to get ready to put the farms in.

     Alhamdulilah we have reached our goal and a little more. Allah is truly kind. There have a been a few negative comments on the our add from people. May Allah bless them and ease their heart.  The negative comments are to be expected sadly even from among our own. Allah is the best of knowers and planners. May Allah make things easier on all of them ummah and even more so on those who are struggling.

Because of your generosity we will be able to do a lot more in this funding phase. We planing on doing phase two in september Insha Allah so we can build more.    I want to apologize on the shortage of updates recently. we had a recent death in the family so we where dealing with that. Alahmdulilah. Now we want to schedule an event on the land for end of march or begining of april depending on when we get the funds together. We want to raise $1000 for this. $500 for the orchard and $500 to help get brothers and sisters who want to come but cant afford the gas for the trip out there. Insha Allah we will do a car pool and pick up many brothers and sisters along the way and drop them off a couple days later after the event. The event will be showcasing the well and iis an open invitation for anyone that interested in the project to come out and see for themselves what we are building and how far along we have come. they will get a chance to be hands on and plant the orchard with us. eat with us, tour the land, fix in the lake, and be able to take as much video and pictures as they want. I know many are interested in this project this is will be great opportunity to really see the value of this project and how it will be a great benefit to muslims all over the country. 

The brother that is doing our well should have it done before the month is out Insha Allah. We will also be putting in a power supply on the land from the reminder of the funds we have raised so far. We want to show case our solar power set up as well and some of the small farming plots we have set up at the event as well. Insha Allah you all can come to the event.     as of 1 am this morning Alkebulan Community lost one of its elder members إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ. she was Also my wifes grandmother. Its a hard time for my family and inlaws right now. May Allah make it easier on them. Alkebulan Community will celebrate her life by naming the orchard after her. I pray that every one filled and nourished by the orchard will count as a blessing a good deed for her in the hereafter. She was a great caring women who loved her family. I am reminded by her loss that life is short and is a test from Allah. We must always strive in the cause of Allah, be upright, and stay on the straight path. for no matter your status, wealth,or position we all end up in the same earth. Let us be humble and thank Allah for the test in this dunya. Tomorrow is not promised to you or me. May Allah accept all of our dua's and keep us close to him.

Dear brothers and sisters,

  First off thank you all for your support of this community project.  May Allah reward you for your charity. we have hit some what of a snag in the well department. I called the well company early last year and they qouted me $3000 for the well. By the grace of Allah we have raised $3000 so I called the well company back this morning and they have drastically upped their prices. the well is now $4850 this well comes with three farming screens and a ten year warrenty plus they lay the piping to get water to the area you want. so we still have more funds to raise before we can buy the well. This is but a trial from Allah. Though it is nearly $2000 more I say Alhamdulilah for Allah is the best of planners and knows what is best for us. So we must trust in Allah and keep pushing to get these funds raised. Nothing worth having in this life is easily gotten.

There is a sense of urgency that we must start building faster and getting things done. Sadly the trump administration has already started signing things into law that will affect millions upon millions of people who depend on many of the social programs like food stamps, disability, healthcare benefits. 

The goal of Alkebulan Community is t be able to help and support the ummah in need and people  in need in general. My wife is a RN so we can take care of a lot of the basic health care needs of people. we just need to get the land built and the farms up. so we can start housing and feeding people. Most of all so we can start to prepare for the influx of people who will be in need of food. we plan to make food bags of fresh grown halal produce to give to those who need it. I am going to raise the funding goal in hopes that people will see the urgency and will help us get there and build.

we are only $290 away from having enough to get the well Insha Allah we will reach that soon. for having our own clean independent water source is one of the most important things we need. may Allah reward and bless you all even if you cant contribute may Allah reward your intentions.

Thanks to you we are only $300 away from being able to but the well for the land. the well is the most important part of the community because it will give those living on the land a clean water source, running water in their homes, most of all we will be able to start the farming. help us reach this milestone and spread the word. we are halfway done with this campaign but only $300 away from getting the well.
