The war caused widespread famine and an outbreak of cholera in Yemen.
Five years of civil war have destroyed the country's economy and infrastructure. The people suffered from famine, they died from diseases that normally curable and preventable, especially among children.
Lack of clean water supply and sanitation as a result of the ongoing conflict affected no less than 14.5 million people. In 2018, more than 1.2 million cholera cases were reported, at least 2,500 deaths but many cholera related deaths may go unreported.
Billions of dollars have been pledged by donor countries but only a small percentage were actually fulfilled. In such a situation, the united nation was forced to scale down on food ration for 12 million people that are totally dependent on outside help to get food - including 2.5 million malnourished children.
There is no sign the war will end at any time soon. In fact, the conflicts inside Yemen is getting more complex and confused. The war has escalated with new fightings erupted in Southern Yemen between supposed allies in a Saudi-led coalition battling the Houthi rebels.
The Houthi rebels have expanded their long-range targets into Saudi aiming at key installations such as airport and oil facilities. In retaliation, more Saudi planes are carrying out attacks inside Yemen and some hits civilian targets causing much casualties.
Since the war began, the number of civilian casualties are fast approaching 100,000. Some deaths are due to civilians being directly targeted by the warring factions.
If the United Nations proceed with the threat to severely cut down life-saving aid to 12 million Yemenis coupled with the growing number of clashes in the various parts of the country, more will die due to famine and diseases.

Massive Fire Wipes Out Over 700 homes of Rohingya Refugee @ Balukali Camp, Yesterday!
The fire broke out at about 3 pm, Monday, 22 March 2021. It swiftly spread across the dilapidated shelters made of canvas and bamboo. The camp housed thousands of refugees who had escaped the massacre in Burma in August 2017.
