Muslims in the West face an uphill battle which is threatening their Islam. We are suffering from an intellectual and identity crisis, threatened externally by Islamophobia and wracked internally by confusing debates and disagreements about our direction as Muslims.

Now more than ever, Muslims need to have deeper conversations that help provide us with the direction we need to navigate our challenging condition.

With your assistance we can take considerable steps in the right direction to help change the level of discourse in the Muslim community and thus provide much-needed perspectives and ways forward.

1] Our Story

'Boys In The Cave' (BITC) is a successful Muslim podcast based in Sydney, Australia. Having released 40 episodes, BITC have achieved significant milestones, such as being #1 Islamic podcast in both Australia and the U.K, while also hosting prominent Muslim personalities such as Dr. Mohamed Ghilan, Subboor Ahmad, Mohamed Hoblos, Dr. Shadee Elmasry, Kamal Saleh, Shaykh Bilal Dannoun and others.

2] Our Mission

BITC's aim is to revive Islamic discourse. There is a lack of intellectual platforms in Muslim communities in the West where Muslims can adequately discuss and explore pressing matters related to Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Spirituality, as well as other areas that affect the modern Muslim condition. There is a lack of platforms where experts and scholars come together with youth to bring their knowledge to the next generation of our communities.

3] The Problem

Prominent, trend-setting non-Muslim podcasters have the money, skills, equipment and technology to put out their content. The Joe Rogan Podcast, for instance, has been a game changer. But there is a significant hole in our Muslim communities where issues pertinent to our deen are not being adequately discussed and tackled in an intellectual, informed and deep way.

4] The Plan

BITC has shown itself capable of punching above its weight and helping create discussions that are crucial to our condition. We feel that time is now ripe for BITC to take its operations to the next level, and to begin having a truly global impact at a larger level. It is time for us to encompass mediums such as YouTube, to reach larger audiences, to produce more professionally and regularly than we ever have before. It is time for Muslims to have a podcast initiative that reflects their number, diversity and intellectual heritage.

For this, we need a larger team, professional studios, more dedicated resources and technical nous. And this is not possible without the support of our brothers and sisters across the world, thousands of whom have benefited - and continue to benefit from - the work we do.
