Help us in reaching communities who are going through trauma due to extremist actions and heal them with creative therapies

Supporting the mental and emotional well-being of communities in Pakistan.

Our vision is to reach maximum citizens using creative therapy as our tool; who are in the slum areas or are in the minority community and do not have access to the quality therapy and are going through stress due to terrorism, economic situation or health problem.

We are raising funds to conduct 25 creative therapies session for the affected communities and setting up two creative therapies center in GB which will help in reducing the impact of violent extremism and making communities stress free in the areas of Karachi and Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan in next 6 months.

The program focuses on mental health well-being to diminish depression, anxiety, and similar psychological conditions. We're huge believers of social and emotional well-being, therefore, we offer “counseling, music remedy, play therapy and art therapy" in this regard.

In May 2015, we started this initiative when we lost a close one along with the other 47 innocent souls in the terrorist attack on the community public bus.

All the young youth came out to help the community getting over the grief of losing their close ones and started conducting recreational and creative activities to reduce the impact of the incident.

This approach of countering violent extremism gave us a hope to reach out more and more stressed communities and help them in bringing them out of the terrorism impact.

The Parindey team provides these stress relief sessions and gives participants a rich opportunity to develop themselves as individuals and become a stress-free force for building peace in the society.

At the Open House in Islamabad, Mudassar's parents expressed their gratitude with tears at the help he received for his Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Mudassar is a 13 years old kid residing in Islamabad Pakistan and he attended an educational camp which was arranged by the Parindey team. During the camp, Mudassar along with other 74 kids attended different arts, music, architecture and digital storytelling classes which gave him a chance to be among normal kids and a chance to express himself among these kids.

Mudassar parents commented "The Camp had changed their child’s life: he had never felt as accepted and happy at school. Facilitator through arts and music created an inclusive and supportive community that made each child feel special and wanted".

How You can Help Us!

Our most pressing need is for funds. After a successful pilot program, we want to reach out to more communities and children, to make this a year-round sustainable platform for artist and youth who want to volunteer their time to go and conduct the creative therapies session in difficult locations of Pakistan.

Upcoming Program resumes Mid-June in the Liyari - Karachi, Gahkuch, GB and we need your support to be able to run it.

We are looking for funds to support:

 Volunteer Management for 6 months (travel, accommodation & food).

 Resources material for artists & facilitators to engage students.

 Organizing exhibitions in the community for the purpose of community involvement and recognition.

 Setting up creative remedies centers in remote areas to provide access to such therapies.

This year team Parindey aims to cater 1300 citizens from Karachi and Gilgit Baltistan by running 25 creative therapies programs and setting up 2 creative centers
