Donate your lunch money this Ramadan

We as Muslims will skip lunch during Ramadan. Let's not stop there. Let's donate the money we would have spent on lunch to the less fortunate.

It is our sincere hope that Ramadan will kickstart a global movement to #PledgeYourLunch to the needy. 

Within these 30 days of Ramadan, we are aiming to raise $10,000 to be distributed to the two beneficiaries. One beneficiary supports low-income families by providing free meals and the other helps the Rohingya children in receiving the education they deserve.

The two beneficiaries that the #PledgeMyLunch campaign will contribute to is Free Food For All, a charity organisation based in Singapore and Cahaya Surya Bakti, a non-profit organisation, based in Johor, Malaysia.

Free Food For All (FFFA)

Founded in 2014, FFFA’s main objective has always been to feed Singapore’s less fortunate, regardless of race, religion and creed. FFFA is a charity organisation that provides free Halal meals which are nutritious and tasty to those in need and who qualify for one of their many assistance programmes. FFFA aims to help low-income individuals out of poverty by not only providing them the opportunity to earn but to also better themselves out of their current situation.

Cahaya Surya Bakti

Cahaya Surya Bakti is an NGO based in Malaysia, and strives to meet the needs of the growing Rohingya population in the state of Johor. Running 3 schools for Rohingya refugee children and teenagers in Tampoi, Kluang and Pekan Nanas, Cahaya Surya Bakti is currently fundraising for the building of their new school to cater a larger student population, and increase access to education for Rohingya children. They will also be hosting literacy and vocational classes for children over 18 year olds. 

Our Aim
We aim to support these meaningful causes through this #PledgeYourLunch campaign. It will go further than just feeding the less fortunate in Singapore but also to help the many Rohingya children, who are seeking refuge in our region. A successful launch will go a long way into inspiring others to join the #PledgeYourLunch movement.
