Our plans moving forward.

With a successful Launch Good campaign, we'll be able to continuously release clothing with creative designs at an affordable price. We will also be able to expand to different types of clothing in the future. Finally, if God permits, we hope to become the "Urban Outfitters" of Muslim brands by offering a venue for brands to sell their designs, accessories, art, music, and even furniture and other goods. The future for Muslim art and expression is bright!

Muslims have a problem.

And that problem is a cultural problem. Islam is a huge part of our identity, but our culture doesn't allow it to contribute to what it means to be cool or proud. In some cases, we even distance ourselves from Islam in our art or clothing to seem "cooler". That needs to change, and we're here to do that through clothing.

Why we're different.

We focus on creating clothing that conveys powerful messages, exhibits creativity, and generates reactions. Many clothing options targeted to Muslims are either dry of any fashion-sense or distance themselves from being explicitly Islamic. We want Muslims to feel empowered about their religion when they wear their clothes, and we want them to look good while doing it.

About Me: 

My name is Ali Mahmoud, and I'm a medical student at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. I have this constant urge inside myself to produce content that contributes to the culture of Muslims in America and, in turn, the global Muslim culture. 

I believe Muslims have a lot of work to do when it comes to making strides in some important segments of our society, including politics, academia, and mainstream culture. I'm really interested in getting Islam and Muslims in the mainstream. That means we need more Muslim actors, musicians, athletes, and filmmakers that adequately represent the best interests of Muslims in this country. 

But before we can get to that point, we need to produce a generation of Muslims that has not only come to terms with its own identity and religion, but sees Islam as a point of pride and inspiration. We need an empowered Ummah that does not shy away from the Muslim sounding names or Muslim clothing. And once we get a critical mass of Muslims in the mainstream who are not only confident and proud but excellent in their craft, real will recognize real. We will multiply.

So this is my first small contribution in that direction. My goal is to make at least one Muslim kid proud enough of his or her religion to show it. If I have done that, then I'll be satisfied.
