We recognize the need, within our own communities, to champion artistic talent. To truly be a community of excellence (ihsan) we must participate in building a cultural narrative for Muslims in the West through the arts.

The Muslim Creative plays a pivotal role today in influencing and reshaping culture in an age of misrepresentation and marginalisation.

If we want a vibrant culture for ourselves and our children in the West it is upon us to support these creatives within our community!

How Do We Do This? 

GAMA is a non-profit grassroots movement. Our mission is to empower creative Muslims with the resources, support and community needed to grow, engage and inspire.

We Provide:

·      Strategic Support & Consultancy for Muslim Creatives

·      Business Skills & Education in Leadership, Sales and Marketing.

·      Paid Opportunities to Perform at Public Events and Exhibitions

·      A Marketplace to Showcase, Auction and Sell Artwork

·      Exposure to Audiences Across the Globe

·      Peer to Peer Artist Mentorship

Above all else we are fostering an inclusive community of Muslim Artists and Art patrons throughout the world that believe in the power of art.

The Muslim community in the West has not been collectively supportive to Muslim artists and that needs to change.

• Is Needed to tell Our Story… to our children and to the world.

Our Next Chapter - We Need Your Support!

 Over the last 2 years, we have connected over 500 artists worldwide and run over 35 events and projects in 12 cities across 6 states in the US.

Now we are ready to take the next steps necessary to provide even greater services, and to a larger community of artists. We are looking to raise $18,000 to invest into the future of Muslim Artistry.

The breakdown will be as follows:

50% - Artist Scholarships

GAMA runs artist programs abroad where artists can engage with each other creatively and spiritually. Artists are given the opportunity to reflect on their journey as an artist, learn crucial skills such as marketing and visioning. They are also given the opportunity to collaborate and create.

50% of the money raised will go towards covering scholarships for talented artists who would otherwise not be able to seek out and cover the expenses of such an opportunity. 

25% - GAMA Global

25% will be used to help GAMA support more artists worldwide in an initiative called GAMA Global. We’re looking at working with Muslim artists and institutions in Canada, UK, Australia and across Europe to empower them with the resources and support they need.

25% - GAMA US Programs

25%  of the money raised will be used to support GAMA programs being organised across the US for Muslim creatives. This includes our new New York and Detroit chapters, as well as projects already underway in the Bay Area.

This is the most direct way you can support GAMA in the mission to support Muslim Artists across the West. We can only do this with your help.
