Urgent Appeal: Save a Masjid in Bracknell (England) and secure a house in Jannah

Bracknell Islamic Cultural Society (Registered Charity No. 1122605) is appealing to all Brothers and Sisters in Islam, locally and internationally to help and financially support the purchase of the FIRST mosque and Islamic Centre in Bracknell Berkshire Insha'Allah.

Alhamdulillah the local council has approved the planning application for a 1st Masjid and Islamic Community Centre in Bracknell on Thursday 23rd April 2020. 

This is a unique project as there is not a single mosque within Bracknell and the surrounding area. The growing number of Muslims in Bracknell are reliant on hiring public venues: Prayer room for the daily prayers, Bracknell Leisure Centre for the Jumma prayers and the Open Learning Centre taraweeh prayers and also to facilitate education learning and development for the community in Bracknell.

The building (approx. 12,500 square feet) and is close to Bracknell Town Centre. It will provide the community with sufficient space to:

• Quran, Islamic Study and Special skills classes

• Youth programs and extra-curricular activities

• Counselling services to Muslims within the community 

• Chaplaincy service to give advice and support to members where appropriate and give Dawah of Islam to the wider community 

• Nikah and Civil Marriage Ceremonies 

• Ghusl and shrouding for deceased

• Share in the reward of whoever recites and learns the QURAN in the Masjid​
• Share in the reward of whoever acquires KNOWLEDGE of Allah (swt) and His deen in the Masjid
• Share in the reward of one who takes their SHAHADAH and every good deed they and their offspring do!! In the Masjid
• Share in any hardship removed from a BELIEVER.

Why Do We Need?

The current prayer room in Bracknell can only cater to a capacity of 30 people and the Muslim population in Bracknell from a population of 1200 in 2011 (Bracknell Census) to over 2500 (estimated) A dedicated place to practice and share our faith is really important and Muslim community in Bracknell is facing many issues due to the lack of a permanent place of worship.

PURCHASE A PRAYER MAT SCHEME

We have now launched the "Purchase A Prayer Mat" scheme. You can purchase a paryer mat on behalf of yourself or family members who have passed away as an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) project. The cost of a prayer mat is £1000 and you can also purchase a portion of a prayer mat if required and pay via instalment.

Bracknell Islamic Cultural Society is a non-profit organisation serving Bracknell Forest Muslim Community for more than 10 years. The main objective is to establish the first purpose-built mosque in Bracknell Forest as an Islamic centre of excellence to raise the word of Allah (swt), provide robust social, charitable, educational and where possible financial support mechanisms to those in need.
