God willing, we are producing the highest quality documentary series on the Life of the Prophetﷺ. These are entertaining, engaging films, that the whole family can watch together and passionately convey this well known story . This endeavour brings together some of the most globally respected Muslim scholars and experienced Muslim creatives with decades of mainstream television experience (BBC, PBS, Discovery, A+E, National Geographic TV). With God's grace we see this as a unique opportunity that will educate and inspire a global audience, about the life of our Beloved Prophetﷺ. Last month, Alchemiya reached out to the LaunchGood community for support to produce original content. When we asked what films and content they want to watch, the answer was clear.  ‘.... more films about the Life of the Prophet Muhammadﷺ' We then scoured the planet looking for the best of what has been produced about our beloved Prophetﷺ and there are only 2 …..yes just 2 ….. documentaries about his life ……and that is both shocking and heart-breaking. 

Our intention is to produce documentaries that create positive awareness of The Prophetﷺ and his life. Our main audience is the Muslim family who are longing for a television experience that respects their values and engages them. This series will also appeal to non-Muslims audiences who seek to learn and understand the significance of The Prophet’s life.

The following scholars and experts will oversee and contribute to the research, scripts and final completed films to ensure their accuracy. 

The Prophet Muhammadﷺ is considered to be one of the most impactful of people to have ever lived. His legacy is 1.9 billion followers, almost 25% of the planet, who consider him their everyday role-model and spiritual guide. His life, actions and behaviour are an example to every Muslim. These stories, narrations and teachings form a rich body of source material that give us a clear picture of his life, key events and the society around himﷺ.  

This is a very sensitive issue. When we talk about The Prophetﷺ and film - the immediate assumption is that the film will involve actors and break the religious injunction that prevents any representation of our beloved Prophetﷺ.  

NO, NO…No … We mean DOCUMENTARIES …. NOT MOVIES. With many years of professional documentary experience (BBC, DISCOVERY, PBS, NAT GEO) we know it is possible to produce an accurate TV series without any actors. We are guided by the scholars in the list above in this regard.The documentaries will feature a range of experts, scholars and historians that share their understanding of The Prophet’sﷺ life. These interviews are intercut with informative maps, graphics and calligraphic artwork, that enhance the viewing experience. The series will feature artefacts and locations that add depth and texture to the stories. Beautifully and simply told, a heart-warming viewing experience for families. While we appreciate our intellectual tradition, we understand the need for content that both parents and children can watch together.
