About the shelter

Nor Fardilah Mohd Sabki, raised by an adopted family herself, she felt lucky because she was raised up in a very loving and supporting environment. This makes her want to help the others in return. Her heart melt whenever she sees the hardship that children has to face. Thus, she decided to open up Pertubuhan Kebajikan & Perlindungan Al-Haq (Al Haq children's shelter) that is now a home to 23 kids with different background including victims to physical and sexual abuse aged 2 months until 14 years old. She loves all the residents unconditionally regardless of their background.

What is more amazing is she is willing to operate a catering business in order to support the shelter and the kids. But since she has some limitation due to her slipped disk, she can’t run the catering and baking business properly this month. Regardless, the needs of the children still need to be taken care of.  No matter how hurt she is, the kids are always the priority and they should not affected by her hardship.

Currently they have outstanding bills for the following:

1. Outstanding House Rent: RM3200 x 4 months = RM 12, 800
2. School Fees = RM 350 x 17 = RM 5950
3. Utility Bills (Water & Electricity) = RM 1000/month

However, for this campaign on LaunchGood, we would like to focus on their education needs:

Cost breakdown

• There are 21 children (including 4 babies) living in the shelter that are in school
• School fee is RM 350 per child per month
• 17 children x RM350 = RM 5950 a month

Goal breakdown

Goal 1: Raise for 2 months of school fees : RM 5950 x 2 = RM 11,900

Goal 2: Raise for 3 months of school fees: RM 5950 x 3 = RM 17, 850

Goal 3: The sky is the limit. If we raise more, they can pay for their outstanding bills too...insyaAllah.
