Our dear father "Abu Rami" Abdelfattah Abdrabbo recently passed from COVID-19 complications; help us continue his legacy through his love of Orphans & Masajid

In Loving Memory of Abdelfattah Abdrabbo (Abu Rami)

After a 4-week, heart-wrenching battle with COVID-19, Allah has called our father to return to Him on Monday April 27, 2020. We ask Allah SWT to accept him as a shaheed in this Holy month of Ramadan, In Shaa Allah

Who was Abu Rami:

Abu Rami was a compassionate, generous, light-hearted, God-fearing man and a pillar to our family and community; he was everything that we strive to be.

The phrase of “Alhamdulilah” (All praise is to Allah) never left his tongue.

Here he is leading prayer at a local Masjid.

Leaving a legacy behind - Funds 50/50 to Orphans & Masajid

Funds collected will be managed in partnership with American Muslim Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax-deductible.

The funds will be split between:

1. Supporting Orphans: 50% of the funds will go to Iman Jasim's (the mother of Orphans) foundation (https://www.imanjasim.org/) that sponsors and supports orphans in many different countries

2. Empowering Masajid: The other 50% of funds will go to Masajid in need in the U.S. Many Masajid are currently under financial hardship due to the COVID-19 situation, and those will be our main target

Please support

Our current campaign target is $75,000, but we plan with your generosity reach a much higher goal In shaa Allah. We ask Allah SWT to grant our father the highest levels of Jannah, and we ask Him to protect everyone during these challenging times. Thank you.

Sincerely,

The Abdrabbo family

Salaam and peace be upon you all,

Tribute of our dad will air today on PBS NewsHour. NewsHour have been working on a series honoring people like our dad who were pillars of their communities and extraordinary Americans who have lost their lives to Covid. We are honored that PBS reached out to share his story as part of the tribute.

Depending on your local listing, it's on either from 6-7pm or from 7-8pm. If you input your zip code here you can see what time: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/tv-schedule. We also always livestream from 6-7pm ET on YouTube. This segment will air in the second half hour of the broadcast.

Help us continue his legacy through his passion of supporting orphans and masajids worldwide by sharing this campaign.

May all who have passed away find rejoice in their returning to God, and may all who are experiencing the painful loss of a loved one find strength and patience through prayer, Ameen.

Give Generously

“My dad would hire people who are at a disadvantage, like refugees or people who desperately needed a job, even if the position wasn’t open,” said daughter Lena. “I remember meeting one of his workers who had a mental disability and I noticed it took my dad extra effort to give him direction. He kept him busy with carrying boxes and organizing the store. My dad expressed how blessed we are and we should reach out to help anyone not as fortunate.”

Our dad had generous hands. Let’s continue his beautiful ways these last blessed days of Ramadan and make a difference in the community.

Please share this page far and wide. Thank you all for your never ending love and support.
