About the Campaign:

For many decades the London Central Mosque & Islamic Cultural Centre (ICC) has been carrying out an essential role in serving both the Muslim Community and the whole society.

The ICC runs and holds services for both communities such as religious, counselling, fatwa, matrimonial, interfaith dialogue, journal publication, educational courses, weekend school for children, library, prison services, daily visits & guided tours, and many more events, and activities.

The current year has been difficult for us all, the circumstances the world is in now were unprecedented, and we can only hope and pray that the situation gets better for us all. The ICC was closed as per the government guidelines from March and only opened its doors to the public in August with limited capacity, and now we will have to close our doors again which will lead to further difficulties.

Due to the closure, and the limited number of people visiting the Centre daily our funds have reduced, and the Centre is in much need of financial aid to continue its operations. The Covid-19 outbreak has severely affected us, and depleted our funds.

Despite this, our staff have been working incredibly hard to ensure we can continue to support those in need and carry on our vital services:

-        Our Imams have been holding classes online

-        Our Zakat fund was still operating to help vulnerable people in need of aid.

-        The ICC has been providing halal food and working with North Paddington food bank to support the community. See more information here: London Central Mosque Trust Ltd. & The Islamic Cultural Centre (iccuk.org)

-        Much needed repair works have been completed.

-        We have been at the forefront of helping other Mosques and providing them with information to help them comply with the changing government guidelines.

It would be very upsetting if we have to hold back on the much needed services we are providing to the Muslim and Non-Muslims in the British Society and the Community. Rest assured we will never stop working tirelessly to meet the demands of the community.
