Cambourne Mosque Project

We are embarking on a new mosque/community centre project in Cambourne, a small town few miles away from Cambridge with a growing Muslim Community of more than 200 Muslim families.

The closest mosque to Cambourne is 12 miles away and the Muslim community in Cambourne is growing quite fast. There is an urgent need to establish a mosque/community centre that we can call  home and that can provide  facilities to perform the five daily prayers, but also to uplift the Community and cater to be an educational and spiritual hub. This is very important to us today and for the next generations to come In'sha Allah, and it is our duty all to be part of this noble project.

PRAYER

We are currently using the council facilities and we Alhamdulillah perform congregational prayers (Fajr, Isha and Jum’a) as well as Taraweeh and Eid prayers in Cambourne.  But it is a real struggle to find bookings for the prayers at the desired time and we keep changing location and times.

SCHOOL

We run our Arabic Language School and Islamic School, for which we use the Cambourne Village College facilities.
We also run a Technology Club and students are being prepared to compete in the FIRST ® LEGO® League.

In addition to the booking inconvenience, the overall cost is quite high and buying a permanent place is much more cost effective in the longer term.
Hence, we are planning by the will of Allah SWT to make progress towards establishing a permanent base for our community, and for our vision to be realized we need your duas, help and support.

PROPERTY

We are attempting to buy a property which will become the heart of community life, a place where worshippers can pray and contemplate as well as being a hub for our educational programmes and community events.

The amount of money we have is still NOT sufficient to get a place for us!
